05h30 Leave to Zamora. Time of trip from Loja 1 hour
Hiking and birding along the road and trails in the Podocarpus National Park
Target Birds: Amazonian Umbrella bird, Coopery chested Jacamar, hummingbirds and many others.
14h30 Return..
17h00 Arrival in Loja – Vilcabamba,
Option 3
PODOCARPUS N. PARK – CLOUD FOREST, TAPICHALACA RESERVE, ZAMORA.
05h30 Leave to Zamora. Time of trip 1h20 minutes
Hiking and birding along the road and trails in the Tapichalaca Reserve.
Birding in the reserve and seeing many hummingbirds at the feeders, and walking 40 minutes to see the endemic and famous Jocotoco Antpitta and many other birds.
15h30 Return to Vilcabamba.
