November 30th to december 13th 2019
Itinerary.
14 days  15 nights.
-Galapagos: Baltra Airport,  Santa Cruz Island, Bartolome Island, Seymour Island.
– Tapichalaca Reserve (2500 m- 8200 feets), Zamora Chinchipe Province. the Jocotoco Antpitta, hummingbirds
– Bombuscaro River – Podocarpus National Park.- Copalinga Reserve (900 m
2950 feets.).
– Yankuam lodge: Amazon Basin – Nangaritza River – Maycu Reserve (850 meters): Orange – throated tanager
– Buenaventura Reserve (500-1300 m, 1640-4265 feets).

GALAPAGOS ISLANDS
Remarkable Birds: Blue-footed Booby, Magnificent-frigate Bird, Galapagos Dove, Brown-noddy Tern, Masked Booby, Red-billed Tropic Bird, Galapagos Storm Petrel; Brown Pelican; Red-necked Phalarope,
 
TAPICHALACA and COPALINGA RESERVE.
Our Trip started in Catamayo airport, after 50 minutes flyght from Quito. Catamayo is mostly an ecosistem of dry forest where the predominant forest is ceiba thichistandra. Here we find birds of the tumbesian zone. Birds: Long-tailed Mockingbird, eared dove, Loja Hummingbird, Pacific Parrotlet, Golde-  olive Woodpecker, Pacific Hornero, Blue-gray Tanager, Tropical Gnatcatcher, Fasciated Wren, House Wren, Chestnut-throated seedeater, Drab seedetaer, Dull-colored Grassquit, On the way to Tapichalaca we stop for some other birds such as American Kestrel, Chiguanco Thrush, Whooping Motmot, Gray-and gold Warbler, Golden-bellied Grosbeak, Elegant-crescent Chest (heard), Saffron Finch, yellow-tailed Oriole, Scrub Blackbird.
At noon we arrived at Tapichalaca Reserve , Birds: Amethyst-throated Sunangel, Little Sunangel, Collared Inca, Chestnut-breasted Coronet
TANAGERS.
Remarkable Tanagers: Superciliaried Hemispingus, Gray-hooded Bush Tanager, Flame-crested Tanager, White-lined Tanager, Silver-beaked Tanagaer, Palm Tanager, Lacrimouse and Scarlet-mountain Tanager, Grass-green and Buff-breasted Mountain Tanager, Golden-crowned Tanager, Golden-eared Tanager, Blue-necked, Spotted, Turquoise, Paradise, bay-headed, Flame-faced, Green-and-gold and Golden Tanagers; Blue Dacnis, Capped Conebill, Masked Flowerpiercer

COPALINGA RESERVE – PODOCARPUS NATIONAL PARK

Birds:  Andean Motmot, Black-streaked Puffbird, Lineated Woodpecker

Maycu Reserve Tropical Forest Yankuam Lodge

YANKUAM LODGE – MAYCU RESERVE -NANGARITZA RIVER

This is one of the remote forest visited at the of our trip.

Birds: Gray-breasted Crake, Bat Falcon, White eyed Parakeet, Blue-headed Parrot, Band-bellied Owl, Green-backed Trogon, Blue-crowned Trogon, Purplish Jacamar, Gilded Barbet, Channel-billed Toucan, yellow-tufted Woodpecker, Spor-breasted Woodpecker, Tawny-throated Leaftoser, Dark-breasted Spinetail, Ash-browed Spinetail, Rufous-tailed Foliage Gleaner; Plain-browned, Olivaceous and Black-striped Woodcreepers; Fasciated, great, plain-winged and Mouse-colored Antshrikes; Foothill Stipplethroat; yellow-breasted, rufous-wingedAntwrens; Peruvian-warbling, gray, black-faced Antbirds. Ecuadorian Tyrannulet, Black-and-white , and Common Tody Flycatcher. Olive-sided Flycatcher, long-tailed Tyrant; Social, Boat-billed Flycatcher, Andean cock-of-the Rock, Striped and Blue-rumped Manakin, Masked Tityra, Olivaceous Greenlet, Violaceous Jay, Inca jay, House Wren, Thrush-like Wren, White-breasted Wood-Wren, Black-capped Donacobius, Swainson´s Thrush, Black-billed Thrush. Tanagers: Magpie, flame, white-lined, masked-crimsom, silver-beaked, blue-gray, palm, Orange-throated, Orange-eared, Blue-necked, spotted, Paradise, Bay-headed, Green-and-gold and Swallow Tanagers; Green Honeycreeper, Blue-black Grassquit; Chesnut-bellied Seedeater; Chesnut-bellied Seed-Finch, Red-crested Finch; Slate-colored Grosbeak, Buff-throated and Grayish Saltator; Yellow-throated and Ahy-throated Chlorospingus, Summer Tanager.
