SAMPLE ITINERARY OVERVIEW

Days 1–9: Northern Andes & Cloud Forest (Mindo Area), High Andes. 

Explore the famous cloud forests near Mindo, one of the best birding areas in the country. This region is known for its high diversity of hummingbirds, tanagers, and forest species.

 Visit the high-altitude landscapes around Antisana Volcano, including paramo, lakes, and open grasslands. Target species include Andean condors, caracaras, and other high-Andean birds.

Days 9 – 13: Amazon Lowlands (Napo River / Yasuní National Park / )

Travel into the Ecuadorian Amazon, exploring areas along the Napo River and Yasuní National Park. Expect rich birdlife, including parrots, toucans, antbirds, and many rainforest species.

Days 13- 16: Pacific Coast – Lowlands

Visit Ecuador’s coastal region, with different ecosystems such as dry forest, wetlands, and coastal habitats. This area provides a new set of bird species, including shorebirds and coastal specialists.

Days 16–32: Southern Ecuador (Private Reserves – Podocarpus & Nangaritza)

Days 32–40: Galápagos Islands on a Cuise
