The journey from the Andes to the Amazon is a remarkable transition through some of Ecuador’s most contrasting landscapes. As the aircraft leaves Quito and crosses the eastern slopes of the Andes, the high mountains gradually give way to foothills covered in lush vegetation. After arriving in Coca, the adventure continues by boat along the Napo River, one of the great rivers of the Ecuadorian Amazon.
